Thanks again Gale. I wonder how much money and how many hours your tips have saved others on this board. Your digital pictures far exceed the quality of those in the factory manual and Bentley. The detail of the pics is worth a million words.

I had an extreme case of the seatback twist. I did the cable fix but it still had problems. It turned out the recline/rear height adjust gearbox had a stripped wormgear. I was able to find a used gearbox on ebay from Gibby, ebay username: "gauction-pro", great parts source & fast friendly service.

I swapped the gearbox, fixed a headrest cable, & repaired a loose armrest which had the pin almost falling out. Here's the fixes on an updated repair page:
