thin, putty knife on one side of the grill and
pop the grill off. Underneath the grill is a
mid/bass and separate tweeter. As to replacement,
just about anything will upgrade these..he..he..
the are very modest quality...the dealer wants
an arm and leg for barely average speakers. If
you want parity or slight improvement, replace from Radio Schack or Cruthfield. If you want to upgrade..the sky is the limit.

How do you remove the rear speakers on a 1988 735I? And what would you recommend to do if I wanted to enhance the power and sound quality of the system--subs/amps etc.? Also what is the better brand of speaker to use to replace the speakers with?
