It's an area to start with. Gale does an Excellent Repair from the E34 board this helps immensely. On the other hand it can also be the dreaded "stepper motor" Fault. Been there done this! Start at the valves on the Bulkhead using Gales Fix and work from there . See an Email addressed to me a couple of weeks back on the archives, or contact Gale Direct.

The vent blowing out cold air and on the other hand the defrost(front) vent is blowing out hot air?
Anyone have any ideas?
Also, sometimes driver's side vent will blow only heat...?
Is it the heater valve causing problems
