towers under the hood...and they are bright orange in color to readily identify them. If you pulled your instrument cluster without disconnecting the negative ground...then you've probably have set off the SRS warning. BMW does not want to make it easy for you to reset the SRS system...if the light is flashing and/or staying on...means the system has detected/recorded a fault or is malfunctioning...either way, BMW wants you to have it reset at an authorized dealer so they can read the fault and reset it so if you get involved in an accident where the airbag should deploy and doesn't...you can't bring a multi-million dollar lawsuit against them for a failed airbag .

Marty, I would go to the "stealer" and confess that you removed the cluster without disconnecting the neg ground...and could they reset the SRS for you. The SRS diagnostic/reset connector is not the same one used to reset the oil/inspection. I believe it is located in the airbag control module located on the drivers side under the hood near the Elec-box.

Does anyone know where the sensors for the SRS are? 88 750IL
I have a feeling that the reason my srs light blinks is two things, one;I did not disconnect the battery when I removed the steering wheel and Two: the car has been in a front end accident and I have found some parts missing during inspection IE; temp. sensor and low beam adjust on drivers side.Is there a site that has the codes? Can I just put in the code into my OBC? Or do I have to have that tool that fits in the round wiring cap at center drivers side?
