Does anyone know how EDC (Electronic Damping Control) works??? I have a 750iL 1989 and the EDC stopped working. When I click the K/S switch (located on the console) from Comfort to Sports setting the light on the switch does not stay on and I can hear a clicking sound coming from the EDC control unit next to the battery.
I have topped up the Pentosin fluid and there appears to be no visible leaks in the system. Is it an electrical or mechanical problem??? Also, does anyone know where the EDC relay is located??? The Bentley manual says it should be next to the battery (under the RH rear seat) but I cannot seem to find it. There are however two plugs (a 4 pin and 2 pin plug) which are unused.

Also, another problem (unrelated the the previous problem)is that the rev tacho works for about 5 minutes after starting the car and then suddendly dies (the needle goes back to zero). Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this to occur???

If you have any diagrams, figures, recommended internet sites or even long explanations you can send them to my email: peterizkalla@hotmail.com

Thanks, any input would be much appreciated.
