I'll probably go for the CD.

The drive motor works, it fully extends and retracts fine. After its come down it still clicks for about 3 seconds then stops. I'm going to try and find an illustrated parts break down and see what the drive motor connects to. Hopefully find what isn't catching.

Or, I can leave it up all the time. ;-)
