Any info on flamethrower compition in Ca. (long) (archive)

I seen in a auto mag about a burnout, flamethrower contest that they hold in Ca., I think anyway. If you don't know what I'm talking about it is where they install a sparkplug in the tailpipe and inject raw fuel so that flames are emitted from the tailpipe. Anyone know if they have kits available or is it strictly a shade tree mechanic operation.
