I've priced most of this out and it's about $500 - $700 in parts, depending on where you shop, and it'll probably be the better part of a day to tear it all apart and put it back together, assuming no problems occur and no other problems are found.
Of course, I'd be sure to check other things too, like a warped rotor, bad wheel bearings, glazed brake pads, wheel alignment, etc. It might just be something simple.
Hello all. Own a wonderful 1994 740IL with about 98,000 on it. Has treated me very well since purchase. Lately I notice when I brake in a slow fashion and get down to around 20-30 MPH or a bit less, I get a noticeable front end shudder. It feels like it is coming from the left front and I can actually feel it through the steering wheel. I am having a left front rotor replaced this week, however don't believe this is the probable cause. Any thoughts on what this could be? Once I continue braking past a certian point, say 15 mph or so, it stops. If I brake pretty fast, don't notice it barely at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
