I had the same thing when I first bought my '92 750iL. I sprayed "Lube-it" on the gas pedal pivot points and it hasn't been back in the year since then. I think there was a pivot on the floor, and one on the back of the pedal if I remember correctly. Spray all of the pivot points, in any case.

I think you want an oil based product rather than silicone. Try penetrating oil or something similar. WD-40 would be a second pick. I haven't had good long lasting success with WD-40 though. I find that WD-40 washes out any grease that might have been in a hinge or pivot point, fixing it in the short term, but making it squeak even worse when the WD-40 wears off.



Has anyone experienced this and found the source of the squeak and how to fix it? I tried some silicone spray without success.
