Had exactly the same symptoms. Replaced a resistor of the electrical fan(would not kick in). Got one out of 1990 DeVille. After a month had to replace the fan as well became too noisy. Got one at Pepp Boys for GM 79$.
Yan.

I have a 12 cyl 750il that is experiencing overheating problems. The car has 112k miles. While driving on the highway, forced air keeps the temp. gauge in the middle. While driving through town, the gague slowely starts to rise- where is the nearest HW?
Replaced the following:

Hoses
Water Pump- replaced after freezing up
thermostat

Any other thing I can check or replace??

Thanks!
