The immobilizer (OBC's anti-theft) CODE is totally separate from the radio's CODE. The OBC's code is any number you decide it to be at the time you set it (just don't forget what number you entered!)...the radio code contains 5 digits between 1-6 and is always the same.

Like Ryan stated in his post...if you have a trickle charger you can set it on low and attach it to the pos/neg posts under the hood or one of those battery starters that you stick into the cigarette lighter..you will be able to keep the OBC settings and the radio from going into code. Try this at your own risk...cause if you fry something...don't blame Q. 8-0

Is that the same code as that set for the immobiliser on the OBC? My immobiliser code is disabled (too troublesome), but does that mean my radio still neads a code if I disconnect the battery?

Thanks
