my upper radiator hose sprung a leak back in January...then the thermostat to Heater Control valve hose went a month later while I was out of town. (the 2 most expensive rad hoses!) When the 1st one went I thought "I should change them all since I am approaching 200k" but I shrugged it off. Then when the 2nd one sprung a leak when I pulled up into my sisters driveway (out of town going to my uncles funeral) I was lucky that my bro-in-laws mechanic had the hose in his personal stock. We called around to the 2 dealerships in Cincinnati and both of them didn't have it in stock. I decided to change the rest of them at that point...better safe than sorry!Q

It seems this car knows when I'm out of town or on a trip!
The only time a freakin hose decides to creack or break is when I'm gone!
This time it was the a hose coming from what looks like the water pump on the back of the block up to the heater control system (I assume). I've already replaced that little conglomoration (up by the firewall, drivers side). I'm guessing I should just do all the hoses now at 135K instead of one by one when they decide to pop?
I'm getting too familiar with the smell of hot antifreeze. Luckily this time it broke by the clamp so I could push it up and re-clamp it to get it home.
Still love the 740 though!
