My 89 735i also has the dim odometer and my brothers 535i 89 has the same problem somedays it is fine others i can't see it. it seems to go in and out with the little computer that shows up when you push the blinker in, but i figure its probably a pretty common problem

My trip OD has a mind of its own also. Every time I start the car, it shows another number that does not add up correctly. I'll be watching to see if someone has the magic cure. 88 735i.

I'm new to the E32s, is this a common problem? I can only see the odometer/trip meter readings in the daylight if the sun shines on them. Also have noticed the trip starts over from zero every time I go somewhere. I have a lot to learn about E32s!

Thanks,
Don Foote
