Hey Jason,

This is one for the real "CooooooL "Dudes - Max Fretter & George Mann, They're pretty cool guys when it come to things like these, May be worth an Email or two to them asking their opinions...Just a thought.

However, going back to your problem...

1/ You say you've got Fuel Yes?? have you checked that the pump is running?? Are the plugs fouled in fuel?? i.e wet?

2/Have you tried getting a fault code out of the "Check "System in order to see if it shows anything? You know, the old pedal to the floor thingy causing the "Check Engine" Light to flash?

3/ Have you regapped the Crankshaft Sensor? If not regap and try again. Failing this try replacing it from a breakers (If Possible, Keeping Costs low!!)It may well be that. I had a 5000 Audi that did this!!

4/ Does the Engine want to "cough" or fire? What happens when the Pedal is Depressed during start up??

Just a few thoughts... I 'm trying...Very Trying!!! Only Kidding!

Have Had A look at the Bentley Bible, Not much in the way of Non starting issues there, Sorry.

Keep me Posted, I'm Interested.

Regards
Dave M
Don't worry, there is no dumb when it comes to troubleshooting.
Car turns over great. I don't have a better battery unfortunately. The one I have is a sears die hard the spendy one for the car,it's less than six months old. I did completely disconnest both terminals (+-) and trickle charge it for 24 hrs. so it should be good to go. Got spark, got compression got fuel, not sureon the press. as that's one of the few tools I don't have. All the sensors check out except the crank position sensor, it's just a little out. It makes me think I may have burned something on my initial charging. What that may be (that I haven't checked yet) I don't know.

Thanks for the interest.
Jason
Sorry for being "Dumb" but does the car turn over fast or Slow?

Have you tried a better battery i.e one that You know is sound?

These car are temperamental when the battery pays up. Try this and come back to me.

Yes the car does turn over. After the second dat of a no start the battery was low so I out it on a trickle charge at the "bonnet terminal". It didn't seem to take though. Being as I had the backseat out alrealy to check connections I hooked up the charger there @12v 2a. I'm pretty sure I disconnected the ground but this was two months ago, so I'v started second guessing myself.
Thanks
Does the car turn over at all?? did you "jump" the car using the terminal inside the bonnet?

Just Curious.

What systems would be affected if you jumpstart a bimmer wrong(753i to be specific) I thought it was obc fuses that were affected. I'm dealing with a no start prob. I haven't jumped it or charged it outside of specs. Weird problem spark fuel and won't start. Did I burn something out in the ecu while charging the battery(12v @ 2amp)? I opened it up and saw no visable damage. What else sould I look for. I've checked every thing else I could, what might I be missing?
