Since that last posting I found out that the Temp. sending unit was bad along with a blown fuse. Replaced both and it runs a lot cooler. In traffic for a long time it still gets close about 1/4 away from red befor the triggered high speed selection on the aux fan kicks in.

How do you bleed the cooling system?

Is your radiator fan working? This would cause your higher than normal temp. in slow traffic. Also, did you bleed the cooling system to eliminate air?

I have a 12 cyl 750il that is experiencing overheating problems. The car has 112k miles. While driving on the highway, forced air keeps the temp. gauge in the middle. While driving through town, the gague slowely starts to rise- where is the nearest HW?
Replaced the following:

Hoses
Water Pump- replaced after freezing up
thermostat

Any other thing I can check or replace??

Thanks!
