After digging in the archives on Oil Pressure Sensor on a 1990 735 il, I haven't still located the "damn" switch.
Sources mentioned that it could be found on the drivers side, rear head. Yesterday, I sent the car for a hose replacement of my coolant tank (all fluid leaked, the day before). Since a source mentioned that you have to remove the coolant tank and unplug the overfow line, I felt it was a good time to ask the shop to change the Oil Pressure Switch for me. Unfortunately the came car back with the new switch sitting in the trunk, but no leak of coolant fluid. If somebody has a picture of the Oil Pressure Sensor on 1990 735 il that they could post, I would be very grateful to them.
On a second note, if the Oil Pressure Sensor is really defective (for 6 weeks now) will that justify me adding 1L of oil every 400-500 kms. The only oil leak the shop could possibly find was located at the rear of the engine, on the driver's side.
Thanks to you all for your inputs.
Ramesh
