tech advice on massive oil consumption 750i'88 (archive)

For the last weeks, I am desperate trying to find the reason of the massive oil consumption of my 750i '88 (210.000 miles).

We are talking about 1 liter oil per 400 kilometer (250 miles). Thats abnormal. Previous owner (from '93 till now)of the car told me that the car had always this massive consumption.

Done already: changed PCV valves. Problem wasn't solved.

Did a compressiontest by myself which showed this:

left bank: right bank:
#1 = 12.5 #7 = 13
#2 = 12 #8 = 12.75
#3 = 12 #9 = 13.25
#4 = 12.5 #10 = 13
#5 = 12.25 #11 = 13
#6 = 12.5 #13 = 13

(all in bar)
This test was performed several times. I can't explain the difference between the banks. It seems that #2 and #3 are the weakest of them all, they needed also a few more cranks than the others to reach the highest value.

Spark plugs are looking good, nice white/brown and no deposits, looking all 12 more or less the same.

Detail: some blue clouds are appearing after strong deacceleration and than immediate acceleration (for instance, braking for a red light and light turns green).

Only option left: valve stem seals....is it possible to replace them without lifting the heads? Any advice in this case is greatly appriciated.
