I too went from an e28 to an e32 & it makes a great daily driver. In addition to Ramesh's & Bob's good suggestions, they come in two versions, the i & iL which is approx. 5" longer with all of the extra length in the rear legroom. I think all of the iL's have the LAD self-leveling rear suspension, which adds more expense to related repairs. Early e32's up to 88 or 89 are more prone to electrical problems with the climate control system such as stepper motor brackets, etc. The 735i has the familiar m30 engine with minor differences from the e28 m30, & in my opinion, is the easiest of the I-6, V-8, & V-12 to maintain. When you do find one, invest the $100 or $150 for a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you know what you're getting into. Somewhere around 1990 or so they changed the rearend ratio to 4.27:1 which gives it more punch out of the hole without sacrificing too much at the top end when doing the legal speed limit. Other than some power seat repairs & some driveshaft issues, it hasn't been much more demanding than my 83 528e to keep in shape, & with this board & some good on-line parts sources, I've been able to keep it away from the dealer. Take your time & find a good specimen.gale

I am looking to replace my old e28 and am considering getting into a e32. I am considering a 735 for a daily driver. Do any of you have any reccomendations on what to look for when shopping? What are common problem areas? Are there any websites that ya'll would reccomend? Thanks in advance!
