I purchased the same car on E-bay in March. I'm now in the unfortunate position of going through the fraud insurance provision of the online car sales through E-bay. I can't tell you if the dealer that had the car lied about the car or was simply stupid, but I'm looking at $2k to $3K in repairs. The sad fact was I had a clue as to what I was doing thanks to this board. I still ended up with a car that needs work. The car dealers you are buying from don't have as much info on these complex cars as we do. If you buy on E-bay try to do so from a dealer who specializes in BMWs
