The good news is that the fluid does not smell burnt. I also ran the fluid through a strainer and there is no particulate. Seems to be running good since I changed the fluid. Will probably take it to a shop that has one of those T-Tech systems which completely flush all old fluid and replace with new. Will then drop pan, replace filter, and replace the 3.7 quarts from the pan with synthetic.
