Don't let a car that "looks" good cosmetically fool you into a relatively high purchase price, only to have to put another $2500 in mechanical repairs to make the car driveable. ALWAYS get a pre-purchase inspection from a competent qualified BMW mechanic...whether it be a local dealer or independent. It will be the BEST $50-$200 you''ll ever spend!
If you are in the market for purchasing an e32...you should be reading posts down this board on a regular basis to get an idea of what to look for in a prospective vehicle. Grant it, most of our post seem negative...but that's because most owners do not post when there's nothing wrong with the car...so what you see is those who need help. You will notice (if you check in often) that most problems appear to be similar and the same questions usually get asked over and over and over and over (ya get it). There's also an archive search (ain't to great) but a while ago the e38 board split off from us and a lot of the archives went with their board...so you can search over there as well.
Oops, just re-read your post...you already picked it up...so what it's worth is dependent upon the cars mechanical and cosmetic condition. When I purchased my 91 735iL back in 2000, I paid $6500 for it...but I knew it needed a driveshaft and brakes/rotors all around. I spent an additional $1200. I was able to get the price lowered because of the repairs that were needed...which I knew needed to be done because of the inspection.
Congrats on the new purchase,

Just picked up a 91 750iL in very nice shape ... is a 1991 an E32?
If so, what do you figure it's worth with 110K miles on it?
