dash. The link was for an e34 for the rear seat. It's under the dash on an e32. It's a slim black box about 4" x 6" x 3/4" thick. On mine, it's behind the knee bolster under the steering column for left-hand drive e32's. If you check the link below for changing the brake light switch, you'll find it behind the pad. I haven't had to re-program my remote, I saved the URL just in case I would need it some day.
