There is a place around here called StartMart that sells the bmw 140amp alt for 119 with a life time warrenty and free install. Im in portland oregon, but they also have shops in washington, arizona, and colorado


I paid $164.00 for the 140 AMP in my 1988 750, came with a three year warranty and no install. Install is at around two hours on my car.

Be careful and get it all in writing as Advance Auto parts advertises on a big banner on front of store FREE BATTERY INSTALLATION. But, when questioned, they admit, NOT ALL CARS. I mentioned banner on front of store and was told "Oh we check in our computer for whether it is free or not"
Caveat Emptor.
