Speedometer sticks on warm days (archive)

The speedometer works smoothly until the outside temperature rises into the 60's, then it sticks and jumps. All of the other instruments behave normally.
Resetting the AVG MPH on the OBC shows smooth speed changes and a differential from the speedometer.
A sharp rap above the cluster makes it jump in the right direction.
Might have noticed earlier, but it seems to be just warming up here in Portland. It works fine during the normal rain.

Any fixes? Lubrication?
