I used a large pair of Grip Pliars....

Can you help me with the steering wheel problem:

1. What is the size of the nut, and where is it located. I presume if you remove the kick panel, it is near the firewall on the inside of the car

2. I have symptoms, like slight play in the wheel. If I move my wheel 20 deg each way, I see that the steering has play. Does this nut solve this issue also.

An early answer would help as I am planning to work on it around 11 AM

thx

Sam

Thanks for the advise yesterday, I was able to get to the nut at the bottom of the steering shaft by removing the kick plate. after tightening it about two rotations my steering is now responding almost perfectly.
