Rodney

I tried both ways before you replied to me.

When I turn clockwise (move the wrench handle right to left) then the nut started to move, and I felt it was loosing (I may be wrong)

When I turn anti-clockwise (move the wrench handle left to right) then the max I could move 1/8 turn.

I moved that and left it, as if I turned clockwise and it loosens I did not want to open up the thing, and make the car non-drivable.

Then I opened the Engine Bay, and moved the sterring, and felt the universal joint in the engine bay, and could feel the play.

Could the play be in the joint, and not what we are doing. The play here we are talking is very less, just 4 deg movement, but I can feel that duck-duck noise when the play is there. You know what I mean.

Should I move the nut clockwise, and see how much it will move. You said it moved 1 turn in your case maybe that is the issue, and I should move it, and see. I know it is such a small/simple thing, when I take it to my "mechanic" for Insp II, and I ask him, he will charge me $30-$50 labor, and I do not want to pay it.

Also one more thing, I removed one screww on the left, and two upholstery tab in the bottom, but how is the black thing (vent holder) attached on the right hand side, so that I have free space to turn the nut,

Sam

Clockwise if your sitting in the drivers seat......let me know how it works after this....
