The vent is held in place by one screw under the bottom to the left side of the drivers area ( look under the Vent duct )and the other side is held in place by the carpet panel screw on the right side (Console side) I turn mine clock wise i had the grip handle down towards the floor and pushed away from the radio towards the door to tighten it, you should drive it to see if there's a difference afterwoods.
