'94 740 iL valve body rebuild kit (archive)

I have the "known problem" with the transmission valve body, and found out today by talking to ZF that I could purchase a kit from Jaggi Imports for $125. Since I don't really have much (actually any) experience fixing cars, can someone tell me approx. how many hours of labor I should expect my local shop to charge me for installing this kit? Also, does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with using this kit? Thanks.
