You also said your fan is not moving. The fan pulley and water pump are driven from the same belt? You might want to check the well being of the belt too.

I have a 1988 735I and it made a loud sqeal sound. When I look at my water pump, I can see there are droplets of coolant on the fan pulley and the fan is not moving when my car is running. Please help. Do I need a new water pump?
