: I just finished upgrading my brakes . My 535 now uses 750 front caliper/rotors and 740/540calipers with 540 vented rotors. This setup is cost effective and is as good as it gets with BMW parts. I would suggest that any one feeling the need to STOP quicker/better for street/track check out this setup.

I'm sure Rod is correct about the M5 brakes. The upgrade that I went for is excellent anf cost effective. Here is a parts list should anyone want to do the upgrade. As the parts come off of a E32 they should work with 15" wheels.
L/R 750 front calipers
L/R 750 caliper carriers (important)
L/R 750 rotors
L/R 740 ( E34-540) rear calipers
L/R 540 rotors (E34)
This is a bolt on upgrade. You will end up with vented rotor on all four corners.
The parts can be sourced via Steve D at the Ultimate Garage or at a recycler.
