I'm asking these questions from the perspective of a possible future purchase. The only BMWs I have driven (short test rides) are a stock 1989 525ia (slow and floaty) and a slightly tweaked 1988 M3 (nice). I found a web site somewhere that said 535i with 5 speed did 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds. How does that compare to the 1991+ 525i? How about the 1989-1990 525i? I drive a 9 year old Integra now (no vtec) and I am _almost_ content with its acceleration, so I don't need a rocket-ship or anything. Of course there is more than just 0-60, but I'm just curious about that for now. Thanks.
