I had a small stumble off idle and it's improved somewhat with the following:

1 - two bottles techron w/2 tanks of gas
2 - wiped out throttle plate area w/carb cleaner (see bentley section 100-12)

good luck, hope this helps.

: My '90 535i tends to burp a bit before the engine starts spinning up... not too noticible on hard pedal jabs, but when I'm just trying to give it a little (for launch or to downshift coming around a corner) it's hard, and for the cornering thing, I believe it's better to give it rpms that it would be doing at that speed in the gear you're going into, so the clutch doesn't have to play catch-up (less wear). Anything I can do to improve this? I'm going to try techron... take 2 bottles, call the doc in the morning. Anybody else out there experince this?
: Thanks!!
