I've noticed that in 3rd gear (4 speed slushbox) while I accelerate (typically full throttle, but I think also at somewhat less than full throttle) at around 5000 rpm the tach needle slips back to about 4000 rpm (and no, there was no shift in there, and yes it feels like the engine simply wanted to take a short breather). This occurs both with and without the Jim C chip. After my dealer fixed some leaks in the engine and transmission (Valve cover gasket, rear shift shaft seal, maybe something else too), the hesitation went down significantly. Actually I thought for a few weeks that it was gone, but it's there again in a smaller fashion (about a 200 rpm stumble, again around 4500 rpm).
What the hell is going on here? This can't be normal?
