: I recently had my tires balanced and upper control arm bushings replaced to fix a vibration at speed (50-60 mph) with my 90 535iA (88,000 miles). While things are dramatically improved, there is still a vibration which feels just like tire balance (yes, I had them balanced again). What should I try next? How can you tell when the shocks need to be replaced?

How's your lower control arm and tie-rod? I had to replace all three items per side to get mine under control. Other thing, are you running any custom rims? I had 17" TSW imolas and the center rings were crushed, which caused vib. at that speed.
Hope this helps
