What would it accomplish to buy your gas on a different day? You have to stop "using" gas, to make an impact. By the way, gas isn't expensive. It's cheap even at $1.91 per gallon. Take a look at the rest of the world's gas prices. Take a look at the price of gas adjusted for inflation over the last 40 years. 86 cents per gallon - that's like the price of California water - no way it could last.
: It's time we did something about the price of gasoline in America!
: We are all sick and tired of high prices and being treated like pawns to
: serve the oil company's "bottom line!" Those of us that remember the
: "shortages" of 1973 and 1979 saw a different tactic, same result; at
: that time they created a shortage and we then didn't care what price the
: gasoline was, as long as we could get it. But, as any chess player
: knows, pawns "with attitude" can win the game over larger forces.
: If there were just ONE day when no one purchased any gasoline,
: prices could drop drastically. The so-called oil cartel has decided to
: slow production by some two million barrels per day to drive up the
: price. I have decided to see how many Americans we can get to NOT BUY
: ANY GASOLINE on one particular day! Let's have a GAS OUT! Do not buy
: any gasoline on FRIDAY APRIL 30, 1999!!!!! Buy on Thursday before, or
: Saturday after. Do not buy any gasoline on FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 1999.
: Do you want to help? Send this message to everyone you know. Ask
: them to do the same. All we need is a few million to participate in
: order to make a difference. We CAN make a difference.
: Thank You
