: : ... I think the oil producers are in colusion with the automotive industry. Now that they have sold so many gas-guzzling trucks and suv's while the price of fuel was low for a few years they're going to "jack-up" the price and get rich off of these people. I remember the artificial gas crisis in the 70's. I don't think they'll ever be able to pull that one again. But anyone who believes these FAT CAT's don't sit around every day trying to figure out how to get even richer than they already are, is sadly mistaken.

: There is no question collusion is taking place. How can all these "independent" major oil companies all raise their price to about the same level at about the same time? Even dealers question how this can happen. The amount of control is probably mind-boggling and we are mere pawns in this game....It is also weird that OPEC artificially restrains the supply which provides a perfect opportunity for oil companies to "adjust" the price for greater profitability when they should be hurting too. The consumer takes it in the groin again....

: This to me is amazing. Those of you in Europe are really getting screwed. I have seen some posts that say "hey we pay ~$4.oo a gallon".
don't be upset in the U.S. This type of thinking is not good. We are puppets on the oil companies'
string. THE RICH GET RICHER AND THEY LAUGH AT US ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!
