Not sure what wattage, but I just had the whole units replaced and aligned by the dealer here in Bangkok because the mirrors in the units were blackened out and were throwing NO light at all. Even after all this I still do not like them with or with out fog lamps on. My car is right and drive for the roads here and the light is directed up and to the left and this just leaves the center of the road too dark for my likes.
Sorry just my feelings... Rick
: : : Did anybody converted front lights to Euro type in E34?
: : : I would like to know if this makes any difference, how much this costs and who sells the kits?
: : : I understand that they are no DOT approved and there is nothing "magic" in them but I have heard that they put more light on the road rather than to the air (US version)?
: : I live in Thailand and my 95 525i E34 came with Hella projection Euro lamps. I would rather have U.S. style lamps. The Euro lamps focus the light too tight and up and to one side. U.S. lamps seem to have a more broad beam and to me seem better in really dark areas.

: Ok, I'm puzzled.
: First, Bekkers Imports has the Euro Hella kits for $560 for all four lights.
: Second, are you sure your lights are aimed properly and/or are your foglights on too? I have both the plain foglight and the projector foglight (one each side) and can tell you those make a big difference for throwing light to the side of the car (plain is good to the side while projector is more of a driving light)--also what wattage bulbs are we talking about?
