Sorry, i posted in reply to you, instead of the message above about alarm remote. But yes, the 535i is a great car, you will get nobody on this board telling you not to buy one :). In many peoples opinion, the 5-series is the overall BEST BMW. And the 535i engine has been noted as bmw's best engine ever and most reliable. Therefore, the 535i gives you the best styling, size/weight ratio, and the best engine, so its basically the ultimate Practical bmw. The Ultimate performance and practical BMW would be of course the M5, and the newer E39 M5, which isn't practical based on its price :). You can also pick up a 535i probably starting at 8-9k for high mileage 89-90 and all the way up to 18-20 for a low mileage 92. Either way, the cars are great and can be had in a 5sp!! Good luck in your search.

: I currently own a 87 325is and I am thinking of buying a 535i (keeping the "3" as a 2nd car). What should I look for, are they good cars or alot of problems...I heard the 735 cars were real pains and expensive to repair, my 325 is great. Give me some opinions.
