I just posted a similar query on the E28 board for my 88 528e. My door locks were getting kinda hard to open (just acquired the car and hadn't had a chance to graphite the keyways yet) and then *poof*. The number 5 fuse blew, knocking out the door locks, tach., 4-way flashers, and OBC (plus I get to enter the radio code each time I start up the car now). I'm wondering if there's just a lot of gunk in the lock mechanism that's causing the microswitch(es) to stay enabled too long? The car is too new to me to know any more, but I'm willing to learn.
