A/C problem? (archive)

Few days ago here in Washington D.C. metro area, we've hit a record 86 deg. For the first time this year, i turned on my A/C. BUTTTTT!!! NO COLD air. it blows some, but not enough to cool down the interior. I've checked all the fuses, it was okay. Checked the compressor, it works. Checked the auxillary cooling fan, it works. What's next? am i low on freon? how do i check? i guess, need to take it to a dealer.

Anybody with similar experiences.
