I'm interested in knowing what engine you have that you "needed" to change your timing chain every 100k miles. Timing chains don't necessarily wear out every 100k miles. Timing belts, like those found on the 525i engines, need to be changed every 60K miles or so. Let us know. Thanks, Bruce
