Squeaky wheel? (archive)

When I'm going forward in my 90 535iM (coasting or in gear) I hear a repetitive sqealing noise coming from the left, rear wheel or that general area. It is speed-dependent, but is so faint that I can't hear it at higher speeds and I am only aware of it around parking lots, etc. Sounds just like a toy's wheel that just needs a little grease. It does not make a difference which direction the car is travelling (turning left or right). Any ideas as to the cuplrit? I just installed new tires in the rear, so could they be rubbing a suspension component? BTW, I have 17" x 10" wide rims in back. Maybe wheel bearings? The car does have 140K miles.

Thanks for any help or insight...
