I like you have noticed the tool offered by Bavarian Autosport.

When I changed my bushings about a year ago, I took the control arms to my local independent BMW shop and they removed the old bushings and pressed in the new ones for $25.

Since the car was due for an alignment I let this shop perform the alignment work.

It is very difficult to justify the purchase of a $250 tool to be used at the most twice during the life of the car. Ask you local shop if they will press in the new bearings for you.
