: What is the overall impression from others who have changed the E34 wheel/tire combination to a plus 2 setup, on the overall ride quality of the car? Is it a big diff or a little diff? In what way? I've driven one with 17" wheel/tire setup, but test driving and living with it are two separate things....Opinions?
: thanks...

I had both 17" and 18" wheel/tire setups on two E34s. Unfortunately, there is a difference in ride quality, especially with a performance suspension setup. Of course, depending on the road condition that difference could be a big difference. If you prefer precise handling, or looks in some cases, then the degraded ride quality is something you have to learn to live with. Using 18 inchers, though providing an added handling sharpness, made me grit my teeth whenever I approached potholes at high rates of speed along California highways.
