: I'm about to replace my front and rear disc brake pads with Repco Deluxe on my 89 535i (95K). Should I necessarily replace the rotors while I'm at it; if they're in good shape and within tolerance? Also, if enough rotor material remains, could they simply be turned? I'll be using Repco Deluxe. TIA.

If you decide to get rotors, get them at a dealer. BMW rotors are balanced before they are shipped to the dealers and are far less prone to warping than aftermarket rotors. For the few $$ you save, replacing them again in 10k won't seem worth it. Went through this on my 325i (rotors from Bekkers warped in 9k miles). If you are a BMWCCA member and you should be, you should be able to get 20% off. You will be good for another 60k or so.
