Yes, the Colgan bra is worth the cost, with some conditions. If I didn't do much freeway driving, then it probably would not be worth the trouble. The biggest success factor is your own installation skill. It is not a quick "bolt-on". Read the Colgan directions and follow them. Especially, wait for a sunny day above 70 degrees, as this is very important to get the vinyl to fit the car. You also need to carefully bend the tabs which hold the cover. The quality of the fit depends on the installation. I've gotten better with practice.
As others have said, if you put a bra on the car when its dirty, then you are obviously going to scratch the paint. Also, if you keep the bra on the car when it rains, you will damage the paint, especially for light colors. You will also get some dirt getting behind the cover at the bottom through the holes for fog lights and brake ducts. I use a small whisk broom to remove the dirt from these spots from the back side before I reinstall the bra.

: O.K. now here is a matter of opinion, just what do you think of the bra look for the bimmer. I'm tired of finding new rock chips on the front of my alpine white hood, the chips show up as little dark spots on the front of my hood. What I really want to know is if the bra really works or not. What about fit and finish? Is it a smooth tight finish? Most I have seen for other cars look like hell. Does the Colgan fit the bimmers better? If anybody has one on their car, would you care to comment? Thanks everyone.. :Jr '89 535 Alpine white with black interior..
