: Hi
: thinking of getting 17in rims, springs and shocks for my 90 535i. Will the added weight of the 17in affect performance? Also, is it worthwhile to just change to stiffer springs and new shocks without the bigger rim? thanks

on my M5. Like the suspension--way better handling. It is firm but not jarring. According to Dinan, they re-vavle their Bilstein shocks to essentially make them a little less harsh. That's why, despite their high prices, I went with Dinan. Thought about Konis but you can't get in the back to adjust them easily so I decided against them. Would not want my car any lower so I am real happy with the ride height.
