Hi Mark,

Sounds to me like You may be putting the CD's in upside down. I know it is trivial, but check and make sure that they are in correctly. The CD's should be face down (see the shiny side, not the title side) when placed in the magazine. I got the same error when I installed mine. Let us know if that is not the problem and I have a couple more ideas.

Best,
Rory

: Hi folks,

: I'm installing a CDX-M30 changer in my '90 535 and am getting an error which I can't seem to figure out.

: The discs are recognized by the radio, as the numbered buttons are illuminated to match the number of CDs installed. However, the CD will not play and I get "ERR" in the radio display. The manual for the changer lists errors but only those with numbers after them.

: Anyone else experienced this problem? I think the changer might be at fault but it changes discs fine, just won't play. The other radio functions are working just fine. I know it's a Pioneer radio, the model number is KE-83 ZBM.

: Any suggestions are welcome via private email or the board.

: Mark
