Ooops, stupid name completion. Anyways, I have the exact car and with the same problem, MJ. (Also the rear door panels I noticed) I talked to 2 friends with bimmers and they keep telling me they are supposed to use a little bit of oil. (I did about .5 a qt. the last 1000 miles or so. Dunno.. Any solution you find to work, feel free to pass it on. :)
: My '92 525i(m) seems to have an appetite. Yet I can't locate any "tell tale signs".
: The facts:
: ~1qt oil/1200miles
: No black spot in the drive way
: No black smoke out the tail pipe
: Where is it going !!
: Anybody have some M50 experiences to share. I'm open to any educated guesses as well.
: P.S. My car has 2 of the "classic" E34 problems...door panel vinyl coming unglued, the slightly rocking drivers seat rails, and the sword/fan speed BS. Beyond that, this car provides the most enjoyable drive I have ever know. It continues to thrill me every time I take it out. So, help me keep it. This oil issue has got to go.
