2 1/2 years ago I bought an 89 535 manual with 128,000 miles and maintenance has been minimal. The car now has 156,000 miles and has had very little suspension work. I believe I had the thrust bushings replaced and maybe a tie rod end. When purchased, the head, oil pan and timing cover gaskets were leaking, but negotiated the prioce based on their eventual replacement which I did a year after purchase.

I have had no problems with the electronics in the car except for the battery, it died rather abruptly and may have been due to a relay failing.

I bought the car for $11000 in April 97, blue book at the time was $13000.
